Moisture will continue to stream up into New Mexico from the south over the next week. We will see an occasional cold front slide into northeastern portions of the state and that will help to enhance thunderstorm activity. The best chance for storms will setup over the north and west during the day on Thursday. Spot thunderstorms will be possible here in the metro area late on Thursday evening.
The action should ramp up a bit on Friday as one of those fronts slides in east to west across the state. This front will have a chance to bring more moisture into the state and fuel weekend thunderstorms. The chance for storms will stay pretty high through the weekend and into the first half of next week.
