Kristen’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Daily storm chances ramp up

WEDNESDAY: Afternoon temperatures will be ~5 degrees cooler statewide leaving northern and central NM in the 80s & 90s and scattered 90s throughout southern NM. Isolated to spotty storms will return this afternoon – favoring the higher elevations.

THURSDAY: Storm chances continue to climb with western and central NM favored for spotty showers & storms by late day. We can expect a slight recovery in afternoon temperatures with low to mid-90s returning for a good portion of the state, including the Albuquerque-metro area.

FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY: As a cold front makes its way into the state, more moisture & better lift will allow for widespread showers and storms across New Mexico and southern Colorado. Temperatures will take another hit behind the front with most of the area at or just below average through the end of the weekend.
