Gannon Lawson has eyes on motocross prize

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – When he saw his first dirt bike race 7-year-old Gannon Lawson was hooked. He told parents Tim and Kira that he wanted to ride and the rest is history. Gannon in only a year of riding has become a regional champion.

“I told him to just give it a hundred percent and have fun,” said Tim Gannon. “He looked at me and said he is here to win it.” Why you ask? “Because it was my dream to be at the Loretta Lynn,” said young Gannon.

His championship victory in Prentiss, Mississippi earlier this month also earned him a spot at the Loretta Lynn, also known as the Motocross Nationals. The event is at Lynn’s Hurricane Ranch July 26 through August 1. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
