Durango Police searching for suspect in bar stabbing

DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – Durango Police are looking for a man who stabbed an employee at a Durango bar.

The stabbing happened early this morning at Orio’s Roadhouse.

Police say Kyle Cooper got into a fight with employee Zachary Oliver and stabbed Oliver in the chest. Cooper then fled the scene on foot, still armed with the knife.

Oliver suffered life threatening injuries.

Cooper is about 6 feet 2 inches tall with long dark hair and a beard with no mustache. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and khaki pants. Cooper works as a house painter in the Durango area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Durango Police.
