Roswell police seize evidence possibly connected to school vandalism

Roswell High Vandalism

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Roswell students broke into Roswell High School and trashed it for their senior prank last month, using everything from cow manure to maple syrup. KRQE News 13 showed pictures from that incident. Now Roswell police say they have seized more than a dozen cell phones with text messages that may provide more clues as to who is responsible for causing the mess.

However, the district attorney’s office tells the Roswell Daily Record that the case would be too hard to prosecute because of just how many students were involved.

The school board is now working to change its vandalism policy to prevent future pranks. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
