ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police have reopened I-40 at Wyoming after they say a person was trying to jump from a bridge.

Both directions of I-40 were closed Wednesday afternoon as officers with the Albuquerque Police Department talked to the person. Cars could be seen backed up for miles.

With the help of the Albuquerque Fire Department, the person was safely removed from the overpass.
