An incoming cold front will allow storm chances to stick around for another day as central and eastern New Mexico look to see another round of storms and showers. Our east canyon winds will crank across the Albuquerque-metro area as the front passes this afternoon into this evening. Afternoon temperatures will climb 2-5 degrees in most areas with the exception being the Northeastern Plains (slightly cooler int he 70s).
Ample moisture will sit over the state for another day, helping keep storm chances in the forecast for a good portion of the state. Western and central NM will likely see scattered showers and storms Tuesday afternoon. Afternoon temperatures will be a touch warmer than what is expected today with most of the state well into the 70s & 80s – southern NM can expect another round of 90s.
Mostly sunny conditions will take over starting midweek with temperatures skyrocketing state-wide through the weekend.
