June marks Dairy Farmer Appreciation Month

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It’s a saying that we have all heard, “Milk does a body good,” and June is Dairy Farmer Appreciation Month to honor those committed to their cows and the milk they provide.

Your glass of cow’s milk is more than just a nutrient powerhouse, it’ is backed by centuries of science and commitment by local dairy farm families.

From calcium to potassium, dairy products, like milk, contain nine essential nutrients. From protein to help build and repair the muscles tissue of active bodies to Vitamin A to help maintain healthy skin, dairy products are that natural powerhouse nutrient.

Since 1915, the dairy council has been working with dairy farmers committed to providing nutritious foods 365 days a year.

With June being Dairy Month, Dairy MAX farmers are encouraging all to explore all things dairy. Celebrate with the Dairy MAX for a chance to win the ultimate cake-baking kit, including a KitchenAid mix in their All Things Dairy Pinning Contest.
