LAS CRUCES (KRQE) – A disabled girl who had her custom stroller stolen got some good news.

A customized wheelchair belonging to a 6-year-old Las Cruces girl who suffers from a rare chromosomal disease was stolen from her mom’s truck last month.

The disease leaves her unable to walk and talk so the community came together to raise money for a new wheelchair.

However according to the Las Cruces Sun-News, Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Deputies found the wheelchair during a recent burglary investigation. Deputies returned the stroller to the family last week.

No arrests have been made in the theft.
