City council postpones decision on controversial DOJ negotiator

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Once again, the Albuquerque City Council has postponed a decision on the mayor’s request to up the pay for the attorney negotiating police reforms with the feds.

The mayor wants to raise the pay for Scott Greenwood to half a million dollars.

KRQE News 13 first exposed that Greenwood spent part of his pay on fancy hotels and booze earlier this year. Monday night, councilors had a lot of questions about Greenwood and his spending.

They also want to ask him about his attendance at a Taser convention, the company that outfitted the Albuquerque Police Department with their lapel cams. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
