Moisture will continue to stream out of the Pacific over New Mexico through the day on Saturday. This will lead to numerous storms over mountain areas of central and western New Mexico. Here in the Albuquerque metro area we will see the chance for showers on Saturday but it won’t be a washout type day. The moisture is just not deep enough for us to see widespread heavy rain.
The moisture will erode a bit on Sunday as drier air punches in. Even mountain sections could see plenty of sunshine with just a spot shower. The best shot for storms on Sunday will likely be across the southeast. A cold front and some additional moisture will slide in on Monday renewing the chance of scattered thunderstorms.
