Kristen’s Friday Morning Forecast

Scattered storms & showers expected nearly statewide

FRIDAY: Our Pacific moisture is HERE! Showers are developing over the AZ/NM stateline and far western portions of NM this morning – likely to expand through the day. Spotty showers are possible here in the Albuquerque-metro area late this afternoon with even a few isolated showers likely over the Eastern Plains. Afternoon highs will be noticeably cooler with most areas down a good 5 degrees from Thursday. Winds will kick up in most areas with speeds 10-20mph.

SATURDAY: Another round of showers and storms is expected across a good portion of the state with afternoon highs near average.

SUNDAY: Drier air will work in from the west, although, it is still likely that a few lingering showers and storms will fire over central and eastern NM. An incoming cold front will actually help trigger more widespread showers over the Central Mountains east towards the TX/NM stateline. Afternoon temperatures will once again climb into the 70s and 80s across majority of the state.
