High pressure is now losing its grip over New Mexico and the hot and dry conditions will finally come to an end. Temperatures Thursday will be a few degrees cooler than Wednesday with a few more clouds too. We will then begin to add more showers to the mix on Friday as moisture slides in from the Pacific. That moisture should stay in place through the weekend and into the beginning of next week. We could well be looking at widespread showers and impressive rain amounts as we head into the middle of next week.
