Woman arrested after trying to run over police

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It has happened again.

A suspected car thief was arrested Tuesday night for hitting an Albuquerque Police Department officer as she tried to escape.

Police say they were tracking Briana Keck in a stolen car and tried to pull her over at the Savers on Carlisle and Menaul.

They say Keck tried to get away, hit an officer, and then crashed into a patrol car. Police eventually arrested her at a hotel on University.

Officials say the officer was not injured.

Police say this is the fifth time in eight days suspects have tried to hit officers with cars.
