Police searching for two suspects in armed robbery

HOBBS, N.M. (KRQE) – Police in Hobbs are looking for two people that held up a Dollar General store at gunpoint.

Authorities say 26-year-old Anthony Guiroz and another masked robber entered the store when it was closing Saturday night.

Police say one had a gun and forced an employee to open the safe. The robbers stole $3,000 and then left in a Dodge pick-up truck.

Investigators later found out Nuvia Valenzuela – a store employee – was picked up from work in that same truck.

Valenzuela later admitted to being involved in the robbery and said Guiroz is her boyfriend.

Guiroz and the second suspect, who has yet to be named, are still on the run.
