Mark’s Tuesday Evening Weather Report

Hot Then Rain?

High pressure over the southwest will continue to lock out storms and lead to some of our warmest temperatures of the spring. Temps top out in the low 90’s in most lowland areas of central New Mexico through the day Wednesday. We could touch 100° across the Southeast.

Slowly there will be changes that begin on Thursday. Moisture will track in from the Pacific and that will lead to more cloud cover. As that moisture deepens, showers will begin to expand across the state on Friday. The mountains will be favored for most of the heavy rain Friday and into early Saturday. The chance for storms will continue statewide through the weekend and through the beginning of next week
