Durango police make arrest in violent robbery

DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – Durango police have made an arrest in a particularly violent robbery at an a.t.m.

Last month a customer was attacked at the Bank of the San Juans Downtown. The customer was shoved in the back and slashed on his face. The thief then fled in a Prius.

Police have identified the suspect as 30-year-old Maurice Anderson.

Anderson was arrested Friday at the Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio, Colorado. He’s charged with aggravated robbery and assault.
