2 children still in critical condition after crane accident

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two children remain in critical condition following an accident involving a cherry picker this weekend. A makeshift memorial now sits outside Ken’s Tree Company near Juan Tabo and Central.

Neighbors say Ken Raschick, a professional tree cutter, was giving some kids a ride Sunday afternoon when a gust of wind caused the crane to tip over and fall nearly 40 feet.

Raschick and his 12-year-old nephew died. A 10 and 7-year-old was critically injured. A third child was hurt, but not as seriously.
