SWAT Situation

 

An Albuquerque man was the subject of a SWAT situation on Guaymas Plaza Northeast, early Sunday morning. Police say it began as a domestic dispute and escalated to a situation where the man was threatening to shoot himself and neighbors. The man’s wife was quickly taken by the Albuquerque Police Department where she was safe. For updates, click the link.

A 7-year-old child is dead and several other people are hurt, after a crash south of Carlsbad in Eddy County. Police said yesterday a van, with two adults and seven children, was traveling on U.S. 62-180 when a rear tire blew. It caused the driver to lose control and the van rolled into the median. Two of of the seven kids were ejected from the van. Police say they weren’t properly strapped in. One of the two kids, a seven-year-old, died at the scene. Both adults and six kids were taken to a hospital in El Paso. Only one child has been treated and released. Police said they don’t believe speed or alcohol were a factor, but the crash is still under investigation.

The FBI is looking for a man who they say robbed the Wells Fargo, on Montgomery and Juan Tabo, Saturday afternoon. He’s described as black, around 40-50 years old, and about 5’7″ tall. He wore sunglasses, a light-colored baseball hat, and a light-colored hoodie.
