Homeless veterans to get homes

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Some homeless veterans in Bernalillo County are about to get a home thanks to a federal grant.

10 homeless vets in Bernalillo County will receive public housing vouchers from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. The vouchers are worth more than $46,000 and will provide permanent homes for the vets.

Since 2013, the county has received 70 vouchers worth approximately $339,000.
