2 arrested in connection to Albuquerque homicide

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two men wanted in connection to the murder of an Albuquerque man are now in police custody.

Duane Yazzie and Antavio Cox were arrested by Albuquerque Police. Police say Yazzie and Cox are responsible for the death of 57-year-old David Gonzales.

Gonzales was found dead in an apartment May 14th. Police said it happened after Gonzales used $20 worth of heroin that Yazzie and Cox paid for and refused to pay them for the drugs. Yazzie and Cox then tied up and beat Gonzales then stole his truck. Gonzales later died as a result from his injuries.

Details about the arrest have not been released.
