Vandal sets 100 newspapers on fire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A vandal burned a stash of Weekly Alibi newspapers Sunday night.

The publisher says the vandal kicked over one of their metal newsstands then set 100 of its newspapers on fire.

The publisher admits the paper has offended people in the past, but he doesn’t think that’s the case in this incident.

“I can’t think of anything editorially that we may have done that would inspire that sort of editorial comment but it could be anything.  I don’t know. I don’t see any sort of conspiracy at this point,” said Carl Peterson from the paper.

Police have taken one man into custody.
