On Friday, police in Albuquerque were called to a home on Veranda Rd., between 3rd and 4th St. NW. Someone reported a man jumping into a neighbor’s yard and getting into a fight with the homeowner just before 6 P.M. Police said the suspect cut the neighbor with a piece of glass before jumping back into his own yard and running into his home. When officer’s arrived at the suspect’s home, they said he lunged towards them then, barricaded himself in the home. Police were able to get the man to come out. They said when they were taking him into custody, he bit one of the officers on the finger. That officer was treated for the bite.
One person is recovering and another is in custody after a stabbing a bar in Northeast Albuquerque. Police say the stabbing happened at the Dirty bourbon on Eubank and Mongomery. They said employees had called after midnight about a fight that resulted in one man getting stabbed ten times. The victim was taken to UNMH and his injuries appear non-life threatening. Officers arrested Jerrad Bowen shortly after who is now facing charges.
The man who killed someone at Los Altos skate park is not facing charges, because of some cell phone video screen-shots. Albuquerque police say a fist-fight, then a gun-fight broke out over a stolen skateboard. The video showed Jacquise Lewis was shooting at others before he was killed. Police said they have talked to the man who killed Lewis, but they’re still looking for the remaining two shooters. In all, four people fired shots and seven-people were wounded.
