La Salita teams up with Animal Humane for fundraiser

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) –
La Salita Restaurant and Animal Humane New Mexico are once again teaming up to help homeless pets.  Now in its fifth year, the Salsa Saves Lives fundraiser, created by the owners of La Salita Restaurant, helps homeless pets by donating $1 of every jar of La Salita Salsa sold in May.  Salsa Saves Lives has raised thousands of dollars for homeless pets in Animal Humane New Mexico’s care.

La Salita Salsa is available for purchase at the restaurant, located at 1217 Eubank Boulevard NE.  This year marks the first time jar sales from various retail locations are included in the fundraiser.

La Salita Restaurant is a family owned and operated New Mexican restaurant, located in Albuquerque’s Northeast Heights.  Both Animal Humane New Mexico and La Salita are celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year.  Purchase La Salita Salsa at Albuquerque area Smith’s, John Brooks, Keller’s Farm Stores, La Montañita Co-op, and Total Wine & More.

Be sure to check out Tail Wagger this week, Etta. She’s a total sweetheart, very curious, and clearly has a lot of love to give.
