Albuquerque man ventures on national charity journey

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man is giving back in a big way.

Chris Hurff sold his house and his business of 20 years to buy an RV. But what sets him apart from the rest, is that he isn’t going on vacation or retiring.

He’ll travel in it across America, raising money and volunteering at non-profits in each state.

On his website Hurff says, “Whether I’m racing for cancer patients in a triathlon, running a color run for Ronald McDonald House, building a home with More than Sport or collecting toys for my toy drive, I’m out to have an impact and leave a compassionate foot print everywhere I visit.”

His goal is to raise more than $2 million.

He leaves June first and will travel to every state in the lower 48. He plans on spending just over a week in each state and volunteering at different organizations.
