Our slow-moving and very wet storm system will exit the state tonight leaving behind cooler temperatures and partly cloudy skies on Wednesday. The chance for afternoon storms will pop back up again over the northern mountains however, there won’t be the chance of showers statewide like we saw Tuesday. Occasional showers remain possible into Thursday and Friday but again we should be looking at less coverage than we’ve seen recently.
There is a change in the forecast coming up for the weekend. Initially it looked like our weekend storm would turn too far north to be a big factor. That may be changing now. Recent model runs indicate that we could be looking at another storm dropping down into the state by the weekend. We will have more on this as we get closer.
