ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- Mother’s Day is this coming up weekend and plans for making her feel extra special need to be made.
There are many different activities happening around the Duke City that can make for a great day from brunch, to concerts, and even some pampering packages.
Moms can be taken almost anywhere to celebrate her day, but there are a few places around town that are having Mother’s Day Special Brunches.
A few of these places that are all over Albuquerque is the Artichoke Café, Farm and Table, The Grove, and Trombino’s Bistro Italiano.
Need an idea for what to do after brunch? There’s a free concert in Old Town from 1pm to 4pm. This is an event that is good for the entire family.
Another event that is extremely family friendly is joining the ABQ Zoo for the Philharmonic Concert. This is free with cost of admission to the park.
Hotel Cascada is also having a Luau. For $37 enjoy a buffet and all-day access to the indoor water park.
Maybe mom just wants to be pampered. Betty’s Bath Day Spa would be perfect for this occasion, along with Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs, Rio Grande Body Works or the Tamaya Mist Spa and Salon.
Want to get out of town?
Taking the Rail Runner to Santa Fe for different brunch options, the Children’s Museum or event the Farmers Market will be relaxing.
Need something different?
Take a hike on the Turquoise Trail, visit the Tinkertown Museum or even take a short drive to Acoma and take in the beautiful sites.
A bit of a longer drive to Alamogordo, NM will have you playing in the White Sands or head up to Cloudcroft to enjoy the mountain sites at the Lodge.
Jemez Springs would also be an enjoyable overnight stay. Take a tent and sleep in the fresh air of the Jemez Mountains.
