Lobo baseball gets swept by Nevada

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Lobos got off to a quick start on Sunday against the Wolf Pack, but they would fall in extra innings 14-9.

The Lobos took a four to nothing lead over Nevada in the second inning, but it would be tied at eight in the ninth. They went into extra innings and the Lobos then gave up six runs in the top of the tenth and only get one run in the bottom half.

Starting pitcher Luis Gonzales pitched three innings with two strikeouts. He did lead at the plate for the Lobos going 4-6 with a home run and three RBI’s.

The Lobos are now 14-11 in Mountain West play, mired in a seven game losing streak. They play in Las Cruces next on Tuesday at 6 pm.
