Storms and showers we have out there this evening will be coming to an end over the next few hours. Then we get ready for a larger storm that is going to impact much of New Mexico for Monday and Tuesday. The heaviest rain with the chance for even some severe storms will be possible in southeast New Mexico on Monday and Tuesday.Flash Flood Watches are up for much of eastern New Mexico. That is where some areas like Roswell, Carlsbad, and Hobbs could get 1-2+” of rain. Albuquerque will also have a good chance for wetting rains on Monday and Tuesday. It’s not going to be raining all the time in the metro, but we will be in and out of the rain/storms for the beginning of the week. We start to dry out by the end of the week, but a storm system passing to our north will pick up the wind for the end of the week.
