Sipapu ski resort to add new lift

VADITO, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico ski resort is adding a new chairlift.

Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort is building a sixth chairlift. The lift is for beginners, mainly families. The lift is the resort’s first quad lift, meaning it can carry up to four people up the mountain. It gives parents and kids a chance to ride together.

Resort crews will also construct a new intermediate or advanced trail directly under the lift.

The lift and trail should be finished by next ski season. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
