The chance for storms will continually increase through the weekend and into the beginning of next week. A couple small weather disturbances will kick across the state both Saturday and Sunday. This will result in scattered afternoon thunderstorms each day.
But the chance for showers really ramps up the beginning of next week. Deep moisture will slide into the eastern half of the state bringing the chance for showers way up east of the central mountain chain. Here in the metro area we’re likely to see storms beginning Monday and continuing throughout the first half of the week. We could even see flooding rains across eastern New Mexico. We will continue to watch the storm over the weekend.
