Lobo softball team starts series against Boise State Friday

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- The University of New Mexico Lobo Softball team is looking to fill up the stadium.

The lady Lobo softball team heads out on the field Friday, May 1, at 5 p.m. for the first of three games this weekend against Boise State.

“This has been one of the most successful seasons we’ve had,” Head coach Erica Beach said on Friday when she joined KRQE’s This Morning team, “We are really fun to watch.”

Friday’s game is Hero’s day. This is honoring first responders and military.

Other specialty nights include Bark in the Park on Saturday, May 2nd, Breast Cancer awareness the following week along with carnival atmosphere and autograph signings.

Head over to the ball park Saturday, May 2nd for the 1 p.m. game and Sunday, May 3rd at noon.

All games this weekend are played at Lobo Field.
