FRIDAY: A cool start to our day with morning temperatures in the 40s and 50s across the state. Afternoon temperatures will be similar to Thursday, if not, slightly warmer – expect another day of 70s and 80s. Spotty storms and showers are likely to return by late day with northern, northeastern and central NM favored for development. Gusty winds, thunder/lightning and light rain is likely with any storm development.

SATURDAY: Another round of thunderstorms and showers is expected by late afternoon with partly to mostly cloudy skies filling in over the area. Afternoon temperatures will be a touch cooler than Friday but still comfortable in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

SUNDAY: Although not as widespread, spot showers and thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon. High temperatures will keep to the 60s, 70s and 80s – most areas above average for this time of year. Mostly to partly sunny conditions will settle in over the area.

NEXT WEEK: A much bigger storm will take shape by early next week. Better rain chances and cooler temps look likely for the majority of the state by Tuesday and Wednesday.
