SANTA FE (KRQE) – The city of Santa Fe honored this year’s Boston Marathon winner Monday. A parade was held Monday afternoon for Santa Fe resident Caroline Rotich.

Last week she completed the Boston Marathon in 2 hours 24 minutes and 55 seconds, claiming her first Boston victory.

Rotich talked about returning to Santa Fe and what it felt like to have a parade in her honor.

“I’m so happy to be a part of Santa Fe and see everyone’s participating in what I do and loving it,” said Rotich. “Seeing people coming out and doing this is unbelievable and I’m happy about it.”
