Roswell police asking residents to come and collect seized tax documents

Taxes-Health Overhaul

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Roswell police are trying to get some sensitive documents back to residents.

Tax documents were in the possession of tax preparer Sylvia Franco who was arrested in March for tax fraud and racketeering. She is accused of fraudulently inflating deductions for customers and cheating the state out of $120,000.

Roswell police are asking former customers to stop by the police department between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays to retrieve their paperwork. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
