ABQ 365 details Earth Day events and Gathering Of Nations

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – If you’re a visitor, lived here your entire life, or are somewhere in the middle, you are bound to be looking for something to do.

With Albuquerque’s feel of a small town in a big city, repetitiveness seems to become the norm.

So those who are looking to get out of the same-old, same-old, look to ABQ 365 to help you venture from your comfort zone.

ABQ 365 is Albuquerque’s online source for community happenings, by the community.

This guide will lead you to places to stay, things to do, shopping, and even specials and coupons for around town.

With it being Earth this week, there are many activities happening this weekend.

The Albuquerque Bio Park is celebrating for four days. Wednesday, April 22 through Saturday, April 25, the Aquarium, Zoo, Tingley Beach, and the Botanical Gardens all have activities that are fun for the whole family.

The Civic Plaza is also celebrating with live music, yummy prepared foods and food trucks, cool temporary art, and more.

Also happening this week is the Gathering of Nations (GON). Visitors travel from all over the world to experience this event full of cultural lessons and activities. GON begins Thursday, April 23 through Saturday, April 25.
