Man kicked off Albuquerque flight gets apology, compensation

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) –  A jetbBlue passenger that was kicked off a flight at the Albuquerque Sunport says he’s gotten an apology from the airline.

KRQE News 13 talked to Steven Leslie about his ordeal on Tuesday.

He and his wife were on a flight leaving the Sunport bound for New York. He says the flight crew asked a sick boy and his family to get off the plane because he was too sick to travel.

He started recording the incident on his cell phone. He says crew members asked him to delete the video.

When he wouldn’t, jetBlue kicked him and his wife off the plane. He was told the crew felt threatened by him.

Leslie tells News 13 he has gotten a call and email from jetBlue apologizing for the incident. He says the airline agreed to give him a credit for the flight cost and also for some expenses. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
