ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- Cleveland Storm standout girl’s golfer, Dominique Galloway, made the cut for the Volunteers of America North Texas Shootout back in February.
The High School junior has been practicing in Albuquerque ever since her 72, 2nd place score in Irving Texas. She has been working on her putting the most, but she is ready to leave for Las Colinas Country Club on April 27th.
“I actually qualified at that course so I have already seen it, and I really like it fits my eye. Like number one in the world Lydia Ko is my age, so I know it can be done. I just need to go out there and focus on my game. I should be able to make both cuts and play on Sunday”, said Galloway.
Galloway will have to sacrifice playing in her high school district championship on May 30th, but this opportunity is too great to pass up, and she also has faith in her squad.
“Unfortunately I have to miss my district championship, but I know I am confident in my team and I know that they are going to play their hardest and hopefully win district”, said Galloway.
The Tournament is in Irving, Texas and Galloway leaves for Texas on April 27th. She will play in the Pro Am event on April 29th and the final round of the tournament is set for May 3rd.
