Rain continues to fall in southern New Mexico and more rain will fill in overnight tonight as a cold front moves in. This front won’t bring rain to Albuquerque but instead it will crank up the canyon winds towards sunrise. Winds will be gusting up to 50 mph near the canyon. Wind advisories have been posted for Albuquerque and the central Rio Grande Valley through Monday evening. Rain chances and a few rumbles of thunder will be possible in the east and southeast through early Monday evening. We dry out and warm up some for Tuesday before another cold front cranks up the wind on Wednesday. This front will bring a better chance for rain for parts of central and northern New Mexico for the middle of the week along with much cooler temperatures. So we are in for a fairly active week of weather in New Mexico with chances for more rain!
