Active shooter training at Cottonwood Mall tonight

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Cottonwood Mall will be used for emergency teams to prepare in the case of an active shooter, Sunday night.

Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department, Bernalillo County Fire Department and Albuquerque Ambulance will be conducting a mock active shooter situation in the northwest Albuquerque mall.

Participants will be told a gunman is opening fire inside the the mall and they will have to respond appropriately.
