SANTA FE (KRQE) – Santa Fe Police are searching for 25-year-old, Rafael Dominguez, for his involvement in an armed robbery that occurred in Santa Fe County, in 2010.
“We got word yesterday that he was in Santa Fe after we had been told he was in Mexico for the last several years,” said Lt. Andrea Dobyns, Public Information Officer for the Santa Fe Police Department.
Police said Dominguez is responsible for shooting at a clerk during a robbery at Latinos Unidos. He is also wanted in connection to a murder from 2010.
“This man is very aggressive you know he’s killed a person, he shot at another person, and he’s been very vocal about making threats toward law enforcement,” said Dobyns.
Dominguez was spotted by a witness Friday afternoon in the Santa Fe area.
“For us just knowing he’s back in Santa Fe, you know we think we have a chance to catch him, but we also realize there’s a big danger to the community,” said Dobyns.
Dominguez has ties to the cartel and is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous. Police are urging anyone who sees him not to confront him, just call SFPD.
“We want him off the streets and we’re looking to the public to help us,” said Dobyns.
Dominguez was last seen wearing a camouflage shirt and camouflage pants. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts please call Lt. Vasquez at 505-690-6860.
