Outdoor Recreation teaches kids how to build and launch rockets

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Outdoor Recreation is teaching kids how to build and launch rockets.

The Rocket Build Program aims to teach life skills such as persistence, reading, and basic science.

The program starts by teaching participants how to build a rocket. Building will take about two hours for a group of 20.

After that, kids can schedule to launch their own rockets. The launches will be conducted at Balloon Fiesta Park.

The program is held year round and costs $10 per rocket.
