ALBUQUERQUERQUE (KRQE) – A man accused of carjacking an elderly man at an Albuquerque Walmart faced a judge Friday. Last month an 87-year-old man was heading back to his car at the Walmart near Eubank and I-40 when a man tackled him and took his keys. The elderly man then crawled into the car as the suspect sped off.

Police later arrested 29-year-old Robert Donofrio, thanks to a number of tips. This morning prosecutors argued that he was a danger to the public and asked for a $50,000 bond. His attorney asked for $10,000.

The judge also ordered Donofrio stay away from Walmarts and the alleged victim.
