ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Colorado Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa will be the opening day pitcher for the Albuquerque Isotopes when they host the Reno Aces Thursday. De La Rosa will be on a rehab assignment, coming back from a groin tightness. He was orginally scheduled to pitch the Rockies home opener April 10.

De La Rosa has had a couple of 16 win seasons with the Rockies and won 14 games last season. He has the Rockies best all time winning percentage at .763. De La Rosa’s start with the Isotopes will not be his fourth stint in the PCL. He has never pitched in Albuquerque.
