TUESDAY: Afternoon temperatures will be similar to yesterday, maybe 1-3 degrees shy of where we topped out late Monday. Once again, winds will dominate today’s forecast with sustained speeds ranging 15-25mph and gusts exceeding +30mph. Expect mostly clear skies with only a few high passing clouds through the day today.
WEDNESDAY: Winds will get stronger heading into Wednesday afternoon with sustained speeds exceeding +25mph and gusts topping out near 50mph around and east of the Central Mountains. A slight cool down will take hold as well as most of the state’s afternoon temperatures slide 5-8 degrees from today’s highs. The positive in tomorrow’s forecast?… Sunshine will be seen state-wide.
THURSDAY: After a windy Wednesday, Thursday will likely pan out to be the coolest day of the next seven. Expect temperatures to be stuck in the 50s and 60s statewide with the Eastern Plains taking the biggest hit in afternoon temperatures.
