Volunteers clean up the Bosque

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Part of the Bosque is cleaner on Sunday thanks to volunteers.

Metro Rotary Club spent the morning picking up trash near a Bosque Trail. The club says they are cleaning up after people who throw out trash while on the I-40 overpass.

The city picks up all the bags of trash collected after they are done.

The group plans events to help the city every week.

They say volunteering is important to help keep Albuquerque beautiful.
