Albuquerque police search for suspect in Applebee’s shooting

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are searching for the shooter who was involved in a fight at an Applebee’s.

Officers say an argument started between two bike gangs inside the restaurant on San Mateo and Academy northeast Sunday.

They walked out to the parking lot where the fight continued.

“Apparently there was an outlawed motorcycle gang “The Bandidos” arrive on scene, while another motorcycle club was here having a fundraiser,” Officer Simon Drobik said. “Words were exchanged and both parties were involved in a gun fight out here in the parking lot.”

Police say no one has been cooperating with the investigation, making their job more difficult.

The man who was shot was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
