April events planned at Albuquerque Museum

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Museum will host two family-friendly programs in April that look at the city’s history, according to a news release.

Family Fun Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, with the theme of resourcefulness. The event will include demonstrations, performances and activities that will show guests how locals are resourceful.

On Sunday, April 12, the museum will host its Contemporary Issues Series with award-winning poet Jimmy Santiago Baca, who has written several books. Baca, a native New Mexican, will read a collection of his works from noon to 1 p.m.
