ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department has launched advertisements trying to get residents to interact with the officers.

The radio ad encourages people to go to their website,, to ask police questions and address concerns.

The website is intended to build more relationships with the community after receiving negative feedback.

APD had more than 40 shootings since 2010 and has since been under scrutiny.

The city spent $75,000 from the mayor’s appropriation budget for the ads, which will continue to run on the radio.
