Moisture will continue to flow into New Mexico from the south. This will fuel valley showers and storms and high mountain snow. The focus for storms on Wednesday will be in northeastern New Mexico down through the southwestern portion of the state. Here in Albuquerque we could pick up an isolated shower on Wednesday but the action really ramps up by Thursday.
- Mentioned in Mark’s Weather Report: Solar storm may push northern lights further south
On Thursday the combination of a cold front coming in from the northeast and the weather disturbance to our southwest pumping in moisture will help to give us widespread valley showers and heavy high mountain snow. That moisture will continue to stay in place through Friday touching off more showers. Right now the weekend is very much up in the air. Some models to depict more weather disturbances and showers while others predict a drying Trent. More on that as we get closer.
